Women Wine Producers Use Innovative Approach to Increase Their Facebook Following

(Beacon, NY, February 21, 2012) It is no secret that a business’s social media presence is the new instant resume. The bigger your reach and following, the more powerful your business. Look at the Kardashian twitter following: Kourtney 5,292,000 followers, Kim 13,278,098 followers Kloe 6,147,234 followers and Oprah’s facebook fans 6,746,496.  From pay-per-click Facebook ads, contests and providing engaging content on your page, businesses everywhere are using creative ways to grow their social media presence.

Here’s one more for the record.

Happy Bitch Wine is a hot new wine created by Keryl Pesce, author of “Happy Bitch – The girlfriend’s straight-up guide to losing the baggage and finding the fun fabulous you inside.” and Debbie Gioquindo, CSW, WLS, a wine blogger, and social media marketer known as The Hudson Valley Wine Goddess. Their target market is women and their message is all about enjoying life and choosing happiness.

In an effort to leverage their upcoming participation in the New York Wine Expo at the Jacob Javits Center March 2 – 4, the two wanted to do something different to gain more Facebook “Likes”.

Rather than another branded corkscrew to add to the kitchen junk drawer, the two will be giving out, get this – hot pink Happy Bitch branded thongs to each person who “Likes” their page on site at the expo.
